Some of my meals
In the last few days, I have treated myself to some foods that my men dislike, such as asparagus and smoked trout. It takes extra time out of my day to cook different things, but once that first spoonful of homemade (microwave!) Hollandaise hits my palate...oh it's so worth it! And even though along with it, I ingest obscene amounts of fat (and calories), I still don't get the brick-in-my-stomach feeling that, for instance, I got from a Potbelly sandwich two days ago. Why do I put myself through these food aberrations time and time again? Who knows...but I definitely had the "potbelly" later that night to show for it. :(
